St. Barth’s most irresistible private enclave, Le Guanahani is spread out over 18 secluded tropical acres on its own peninsula. Within this captivating landscape, vibrantly hued guest cottages are scattered along garden paths that wind through lush bougainvillea, hibiscus and palms.
The island’s finest boutique resort offers two pools, a restorative Spa by Clarins, a full suite of water sports, a fitness center, flood-lit tennis courts and engaging children’s programs. One can bask in the sunshine at a choice of two beaches, explore a colorful underwater world on a diving excursion, enjoy exhilarating kite surfing or venture out to explore the enchanting surrounds of St. Barth. At this casually elegant private retreat, freshly prepared, refined cuisine is presented with unobtrusive service in two distinct al fresco settings–the sultry gardens of Bartolomeo or poolside at Indigo with stunning views of the reef-protected bay.
The Caribbean island of St. Barth lies in the French West Indies near St. Maarten. This little outpost of France possesses a gentle way of life and rich heritage. Known for its pure white-sand beaches, exceptional gastronomy and fashionable boutiques, the isle offers a unique blend of relaxed glamour, social activity and privacy.
Gracing its own 18-acre peninsula on the northeast side of the island, Le Guanahani is nestled at the end of Grand Cul-de-Sac and overlooks Marigot Bay as well. The airport is a short 10-minute drive away (3 km).
ROOMS & SUITES
Le Guanahani presents 67 rooms and suites. The colorful bungalows–in vibrant tropical hues of turquoise, yellow and lavender–blend a fresh Caribbean style with colonial influences. The 21 cottages located in the Marigot Bay section offer sea views and bold, Creole-influenced contemporary interiors. The remaining 46 cottages dot the lush gardens or rest on the hillside looking out to Grand Cul-de-Sac. These rooms and suites have been crafted by designer Luis Pons in a timeless and graceful Explorer style.
All accommodations offer a private terrace, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, in-room safe, telephone, stocked mini-bar, LCD flat-screen TV, iPod dock, and bathroom with honey-tumbled tile shower and Clarins amenities.
Spread throughout the property, the suites offer privacy and spaciousness. Each features a sitting room, terrace and garden. Fourteen also boast a large private pool.
